June 2002 New landscape started at Pasadera Country Club
Craven Landscaping started work June 2002 on a new landscape in the Pasadera Country Club, Monterey California. Pasadera is east of Monterey on highway 68. Convenient to Monterey Peninsula Airport, Pasadera has a top level, Jack Nicklaus Signature Series Golf Course, a clubhouse designed by the internationally acclaimed firm Hart/Howerton, a Swim and Tennis club, and a fitness center. The house is situated in typical California Central Coast natural open grasslands, surrounded by gracefully rolling hills and highlighted by native oak trees. Large granite boulders will be strategically placed to define the garden area and to act as a loose retaining wall. Native or native style plants are selected from an approved list. A lawn of just 1,500 square feet will give the occupants a cool refreshing area in which to relax without disrupting the natural harmony of the community. The irrigation system is automatic and is designed to save precious water with minimal impact on the environment. The design of the garden and its water usage is fully compatible with the strict standards set by Monterey County. To extend enjoyment of the garden into the evening, a low-voltage lighting system will be installed, ideal for those California summer evening BBQ's or just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful rhythm of crickets into the night.
